Art thrives in everyday objects.

Functional art has two jobs.  I like that kind of work ethic. Collage works in a frame and then works second shift as as a card you send to your aunt (you know you owe her a note).  Pottery can hold your interest as well as your food, and goes to work every day in your office, in your kitchen and even in your bathroom.

Some art does its best work on a wall - it's true.  I suppose that’s a job too - to draw your eye and hold your attention.

I admire the people who aspire to belonging-free living (admittedly, I'm not one of them).  For those people, functional art is the pathway to bringing creativity home - and for sending it away again.  Collage cards are one-of-a-kind pieces.  They can be enjoyed and then mailed away.

Even those belonging-free folks usually eat. Doing so from a one-of-a-kind, hand crafted bowl, cup or other ware brings creativity and art to the table.

I love the form and the function. I hope you do too.
